Lazio coach Marco Baroni was please with his team’s performance. After they came from behind to beat Venezia 3-1 in their Serie A opener on Sunday.
The home team conceded the first goal at the Stadio Olimpico in the third minute through Magnus Andersen. But the Blue-and-White Eagles scored three goals in a row through Tati Castellanos in the 11th minute, Mattia Sacchani (penalty) in the 44th minute. And visiting defender Giorgio Altare scored an own goal in the 81st minute.
Baroni, who face pressure from fans who oppose his appointment as coach because he was seen as not good enough. I was happy with his first game, which end in a victory.
“The team is eager to do well. We didn’t have the best start. But I’m happy with the players for how they responded with determination,” Baroni told Lazio Style Channel.
“I’ve saw something interesting and I would like to thank the fans because we need the energy from everyone.”
“I know I have to prove myself UFABET. I always tell the players to show what Lazio is, to help each other, to be 11 people on the pitch with one spirit. That’s something that shouldn’t be lost.”
Considering how many big teams have dropped points already in the opening round. With draws for Inter, Milan, Roma, Bologna and Fiorentina, plus Napoli losing. Only Lazio and Verona sit at the top of the table.
