The last group match between Gabon and Egypt in Angola has been meaningless. That gave Aubameyang permission to return to London.
However, Aubameyang returned to full training with his Gunners team-mates on Wednesday. And Mikel Arteta has eased concerns over the forward for a crucial game against the Reds.
The Gunners are now just two points behind Liverpool and Arteta’s side are unbeaten in their 10 games in a row.
Nevertheless, Gabon were already out of the race irrespective of the result against Egypt. Whilst there weren’t any injury updates by their national team, reports started emerging that the 32-year-old would miss the game against the Reds this weekend.
